Rhode Island trio The Low Anthem have released a brand new stop-motion video for the lead song, “Charlie Darwin” on their Nonesuch debut,Oh My God, Charlie Darwin. The band has been touring the US with Blind Pilot, and after a brief stopover in Europe, will finish out the year with Josh Ritter in December.

The Low Anthem: Oh My God, Charlie Darwin

The Low Anthem’s new album, Oh My God, Charlie Darwin is set for release by Nonesuch Records on June 9th.
The album is in keeping with The Low Anthem’s style of dreamy, sometime melancholy songwriting with an amazing upbeat twist thrown in every few tracks- as if to break you from the web of contemplation and quiet they’ve knitted with the first few songs on the album.
Suddenly you find yourself stomping your feet and bopping along with tunes like, “The Horizon is a Beltway” and “Home I’ll Never Be”. (a Jack Kerouac song passed via Tom Waits)
The Low Anthem are Ben Knox Miller, Jeff Prystowsky and Jocie Adams- all students of classical composition. They are amazingly talented and Oh My God, Charlie Darwin does not disappoint. It inspires.
