Texas Wants You Anyway

As you may have noticed, posting has been light this week. That’s because Team PRCM is getting ready and geared up for SXSW 2010.
We will keep you up to date on all the goings on at the music fest, bring you interviews with comedians and musicians, and thrill you with pictures of our SXSW back stage shenanigans.
The crew this year is Amanda Brumfield, Jeff Clark, Lauren Mooney and Coree Spencer. Comedian Rob Delaney will be staying with us as well, God help him.

Stay tuned for full speed ahead, mind blowing action starting on Wednesday, March 17th, when we land in Austin.

“I’ve never had a dream why should I - I’m fucking living it.”
- World Champion A.K.A. Judah Freidlander
When Judah Freidlander took the stage he had just made love to 40 women - (all with low self-esteem of course) — guess it helps that he has three nuts.
Then he commented on the couple in front of me - looked like they were getting laid right that second - and yes the girl looked like an escort and I think the man kept getting up to do coke in the bathroom…

Lykke Li at (le) Poisson Rouge, New York City

Sex kitten with smoky eyes - oh yah and she can sing and dance too - the highlight was when the Swedish chanteuse integrated Tribe’s “Can I Kick It?” into her encore.

I’ll take Chromeo over JUSTICE anyday - I love a chance to show off my “Fancy Footwork.”

David Byrne at Austin City Limits

Epic performer in an awesome setting — when Byrne performed “Once in a Lifetime” live it was easily one of the greatest moments of my musical life.
Man Man at the Masonic Temple, Brooklyn

These guys are always a riot of sound and energy and sitting in the balcony overlooking the stage I not only spied tons of instruments but also rubber snakes, a bowl of spoons, and a rainbow feathered headdress.
Hot Chip at Pop Montreal
October 1
After driving up through beautiful upstate New York and arriving in Montreal - Hot Chip was there to welcome me with an invitation to dance - which should really be the only way to start off a festival.
Lauren Mooney On The Web: December 16, 2008 by poprockcandy · Leave a Comment Lauren Hearts NYC: On Stella and Making Funny With Eugene Mirman Stella/Eugene Mirman Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black and David Wain have known each other for many years and as each of them have gone in different directions, they like to come together again and they like to call it Stella. The fruits of their reunion come in the form of the friendship song rap and Super Dave the DJ playing all the songs they like to “do it” to. Black likes to get down and dirty to “Who Let the Dog’s Out,” which also happens to be his favorite party jam where he rocks violently back and forth with his hands in the air, which is also how he makes love.
